Terms of Service
These are the terms that govern your use of MyMoneyMate. We've written them in plain language. If something isn't clear, please get in touch.
Effective date: 23 May 2026
What MyMoneyMate is
MyMoneyMate is a personal finance application that helps you track your income, expenses, accounts, and net worth over time. It uses AI to surface patterns and observations in your financial data.
MyMoneyMate is a tool, not a financial adviser. Nothing in the application constitutes financial advice. See the section on financial advice below.
Who can use it
You must be 18 years or older to use MyMoneyMate. By creating an account, you confirm that you meet this requirement.
MyMoneyMate is currently intended for personal use only — for managing your own finances, or those of your household. It is not designed or intended for use as accounting software for a business.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. Do not share your password with anyone. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, change your password immediately and check your sign-in history in Settings.
You may only create one account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent limitations of the free tier is not permitted.
Your data
All financial data you enter into MyMoneyMate belongs to you. We do not claim any ownership over it. We store it on your behalf and make it available to you through the application.
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings. Deletion is immediate and permanent. We do not keep copies.
For details on how your data is stored and protected, see our Privacy Policy and our Security page.
The AI features
MyMoneyMate uses AI to generate observations and patterns based on anonymised summaries of your financial data. These are observations only. They are not financial advice, investment recommendations, tax guidance, or any other form of professional financial counsel.
AI-generated content may be incomplete, imprecise, or wrong. You should use your own judgement — and where appropriate, consult a qualified financial adviser — before making any financial decision.
Not financial advice
MyMoneyMate is not a financial adviser and is not licensed to provide financial advice under Australian law. Nothing in the application — including AI-generated insights, goal projections, what-if scenario outputs, or any other feature — should be construed as financial advice.
The application is a tool to help you organise and understand your own financial information. All financial decisions are yours alone.
Free and premium plans
MyMoneyMate offers a free tier with access to core features. A premium tier with additional features is planned and will be offered by paid subscription.
Features available on the free and premium tiers may change over time. We will give reasonable notice before removing features that free-tier users currently rely on.
Payments
Paid subscriptions are not yet available. When they are introduced, payment terms, pricing, and refund policies will be detailed at that time and incorporated into these terms.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use MyMoneyMate for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to access another user's data or circumvent security controls
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or attempt to extract data from the application by automated means
- Use the application in a way that could damage, disable, or impair the service for other users
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
Availability
We aim to keep MyMoneyMate available and working, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be unavailable from time to time due to maintenance, updates, or circumstances outside our control.
We are a small team. We do our best, but we cannot offer uptime guarantees or service level commitments at this stage.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Australian law, MyMoneyMate is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the application, including but not limited to financial loss resulting from decisions made on the basis of information in the app.
Nothing in these terms excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you by email. Continuing to use MyMoneyMate after a change to these terms means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
